Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 2 large eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or regular breadcrumbs)

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray


Instructions

  1. Prepare Breading Station

    • Bowl 1: Flour mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder

    • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs

    • Bowl 3: Panko breadcrumbs + Parmesan cheese

  2. Bread the Chicken
    Coat each chicken piece in flour, dip into eggs, then press into breadcrumbs until fully coated.

  3. Preheat Air Fryer
    Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  4. Cook the Nuggets
    Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange chicken nuggets in a single layer (do not overcrowd).
    Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  5. Serve Hot
    Serve with ketchup, honey mustard, barbecue sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.


Tips & Variations

  • For extra crunch, lightly spray the nuggets with olive oil before cooking.

  • Add paprika, cayenne, or Italian seasoning to the breadcrumbs for a flavor twist.

  • Use chicken thighs for juicier nuggets.
