Alfredo Baked Spaghetti with Garlic Breadcrumbs

Spaghetti & Alfredo

12 oz spaghetti

2 tablespoons butter

2 cups heavy cream

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Garlic Breadcrumbs

3/4 cup breadcrumbs or panko

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 clove garlic, finely minced

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan

1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Cook the Spaghetti

  • Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente.

  • Drain and set aside.

2. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

  • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.

  • Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.

3. Combine and Assemble

  • Toss cooked spaghetti with Alfredo sauce until fully coated.

  • Transfer to a greased baking dish.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top.

4. Prepare Garlic Breadcrumbs

  • In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, garlic, Parmesan, and parsley.

  • Sprinkle evenly over the pasta.

5. Bake

  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.

  • Broil for 1–2 minutes if needed for extra crispiness.

Notes

Make it richer: Add cream cheese to the Alfredo sauce for extra creaminess.

Protein add-ins: Chicken, turkey, shrimp, or bacon work beautifully.

Make ahead: Assemble up to 24 hours in advance and bake when ready.
