Berry Boom Shots

Sweet berries with pop rock explosion
💥 Makes 6–8 fun, fizzy candy shots

🍓 Ingredients:

For the Shots:

  • 1 oz berry vodka (or raspberry vodka)

  • 1 oz blue raspberry liqueur (like Bols or DeKuyper)

  • ½ oz cranberry juice (for tart balance)

  • ½ oz sweet and sour mix or lemon juice + sugar

  • ½ oz simple syrup or grenadine (for color depth and sweetness)

  • Ice

Pop Rock Rim & Garnish:

  • 1 tbsp berry syrup or honey (for sticking)

  • 1–2 packets of berry-flavored Pop Rocks (strawberry, blue raspberry, or tropical punch)

  • Optional: Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries) or candy skewers for garnish

🍬 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glasses:

    • Pour a little berry syrup or honey onto a small plate.

    • Empty the Pop Rocks onto another plate.

    • Dip rims of shot glasses into syrup, then immediately into Pop Rocks.

    • Do this just before serving to keep the fizz active.

  2. Mix the Shots:

    • In a shaker, combine berry vodka, blue raspberry liqueur, cranberry juice, sweet & sour mix, and syrup or grenadine.

    • Add ice and shake hard for 15 seconds until icy cold.

  3. Serve with a Boom:

    • Strain into prepared glasses.

    • Optional: Drop a few fresh berries in or add a mini skewer with a gummy or candy on top.

    • Serve immediately while Pop Rocks are crackling.

💡 Tips & Variations:

  • For extra fizz: Add a splash of berry soda or lemon-lime soda to the shaker or top each shot.

  • To go alcohol-free: Use blue raspberry Kool-Aid, cranberry juice, lemon-lime soda, and berry syrup.

  • Want color layers? Pour grenadine last for a red base and blue top.
