Description

🩸 Bloody Glow Shots

Pomegranate and citrus glow with a blood-red syrup center for a dramatic, glowing effect.

🧪 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots):

Glow Shot Base:

  • 1/2 cup tonic water (for glowing effect under black light)

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate juice

  • 1/4 cup lemon vodka (or plain vodka + splash of lemon juice)

  • 2 tbsp lime juice

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (or to taste)

  • Optional: 1 tsp edible glitter (red or silver)

Bloody Center:

  • 2–3 tbsp grenadine or thick raspberry syrup (chilled)

Optional Garnish:

  • Red sanding sugar for rimming

  • Fake blood splatter on the shot glass exterior (using corn syrup + red gel food coloring)

🧪 Directions:

  1. Prepare the Shot Base:
In a shaker or bowl, mix tonic water, pomegranate juice, lemon vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup. Add edible glitter if using. Stir or shake well. Chill the mixture for 30–60 minutes.

  2. Rim the Glasses (Optional):
Moisten rims with lemon juice and dip into red sanding sugar. For horror effect, smear red gel or fake blood syrup along the outside of the shot glasses.

  3. Pour and Layer:
Fill each shot glass about 3/4 full with the glow shot mixture. Then, using a small spoon or syringe, slowly drop a small amount of grenadine or raspberry syrup into the center of each shot — it will sink and create a “bloody core.”

  4. Serve with a Black Light:
These glow best under a UV/black light due to the quinine in the tonic water. Serve chilled for maximum effect.
