Breakfast Sausage Crescent Rolls
Ingredients
For Simple Sausage Rolls:

1 pound breakfast sausage

8 oz cream cheese, softened

2 cans (8-count each) refrigerated crescent rolls

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste
Optional seasonings:

Everything bagel seasoning

Fresh chives, chopped
Instructions

Prepare the oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the sausage: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook breakfast sausage for 8-10 minutes, breaking it into small pieces until thoroughly cooked and browned. Drain excess fat.

Make sausage mixture: Add softened cream cheese and garlic powder to the cooked sausage. Stir until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well combined. Season with salt and pepper.

Prepare crescent dough: Unroll crescent rolls and separate into individual triangles along perforated lines.

Fill and roll: Place about 1-2 tablespoons of sausage mixture on the wide end of each crescent triangle. Roll up starting from the wide end, tucking the point underneath or pressing it onto the top.

Prepare for baking: Place rolled crescents on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or chopped chives if desired.

Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Cool and serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm.
