Description

Brown Sugar Balsamic Glazed Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 thick-cut pork chops (bone-in or boneless)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep & Season:
Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. Sear:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Glaze:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and butter. Let simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. Glaze & Cook:
Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning the glaze over them. Cook another 3–5 minutes, turning occasionally, until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the glaze is sticky and glossy.

  5. Serve:
Spoon extra glaze over pork chops, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with mashed potatoes or roasted veggies.
