🧊🌿 Caribbean Chill Shots 🌿🧊

An icy blast of frozen lime and mint with a tonic water glow—crisp, refreshing, and perfect for chilling under blacklight.

🍋 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)

❄️ For the Frozen Shot Base:

  • 2 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)

  • 1 oz white rum (or vodka, if preferred)

  • 1 oz tonic water (for glow)

  • 1 oz simple syrup (or agave)

  • 8–10 fresh mint leaves

  • 1/2 cup ice (crushed or cubes)

  • Optional: 1/2 oz coconut water or splash of club soda (for a lighter chill)

🌟 For the Glow & Rim:

  • Tonic water (used to make the rim sugar glow under UV)

  • Neon green or blue sanding sugar (or make your own with sugar + food coloring + tonic)

  • Honey or lime juice (to help sugar stick)

  • Optional: pinch of edible shimmer or mint sugar

🌀 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rim

    • Mix sanding sugar with a few drops of tonic water and neon green/blue food coloring. Let dry.

    • Dip shot glass rims in honey or lime juice, then coat with your glowing sugar mix. Set aside.

  2. Blend the Chill

    • In a blender, combine:

      • Lime juice

      • Rum or vodka

      • Tonic water

      • Simple syrup

      • Mint leaves

      • Ice

    • Blend until smooth and slushy. (Add more ice for a thicker texture.)

  3. Pour & Finish

    • Pour the frozen mixture into rimmed shot glasses.

    • Garnish with a tiny mint leaf or lime zest curl if desired.

    • Optionally stir in a pinch of edible shimmer for icy sparkle.
