Chai Spiced Apple Butter Muffin Bread
Ingredients
Dry Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 tbsp chai spice* (or see homemade blend below)
Wet Ingredients

2 large eggs
-
1 cup apple butter
-
½ cup melted butter (or oil)

½ cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Muffin Topping

¼ cup brown sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
2 tbsp melted butter
Optional Mix-Ins

½ cup chopped pecans
-
½ cup diced apples (small pieces)
Instructions
1. Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a 9×5 loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together:

Flour
-
Sugar
-
Baking soda
-
Baking powder
-
Salt
-
Chai spice
3. Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, combine:

Eggs
-
Apple butter
-
Melted butter
-
Milk
-
Vanilla
Whisk until smooth.
4. Combine
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix until just combined.
Fold in pecans or diced apples if using.
Do not overmix—keep it muffin-style.
5. Add Topping
Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
Spoon or drizzle over the top of the batter.
Use a knife to lightly swirl it in.
6. Bake
Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 10–15 minutes before slicing.
Homemade Chai Spice (makes 1 tbsp)
