Cheeseburger Egg Rolls with Pickle Dip

For the Cheeseburger Egg Rolls:

1lb (450 g) ground beef

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup diced pickles

12 egg roll wrappers

Oil for frying (or cooking spray for baking)

For the Pickle Dip:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup finely chopped pickles

1 tablespoon pickle juice

1 teaspoon Dijon or yellow mustard


Instructions

1. Cook the Beef

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

  • Cook ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until browned.

  • Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.

2. Assemble the Egg Rolls

  • Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface.

  • Add a spoonful of cooked beef, shredded cheese, and diced pickles.

  • Fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing edges with a bit of water.

3. Cook the Egg Rolls

Frying method:

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

  • Fry egg rolls 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.

Baking method:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Place egg rolls on a lined baking sheet, spray lightly with oil.

  • Bake 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway.

4. Make the Pickle Dip

  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped pickles, pickle juice, and mustard until smooth.

5. Serve

  • Serve egg rolls hot with pickle dip on the side.

Notes

Extra cheesy: Add mozzarella or American cheese for extra melt.

Bacon version: Mix cooked crumbled bacon into the filling.

Air fryer option: Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 8–10 minutes, turning once.
