Cheesy BBQ Chicken and Bacon Flatbread

Ingredients:

  • 2 flatbreads or naan breads

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded

  • ½ cup BBQ sauce (plus more for drizzling)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled

  • ¼ small red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare the Chicken:
    In a small bowl, toss shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.

  3. Assemble the Flatbreads:
    Place flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of BBQ sauce over each. Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, then add BBQ chicken, bacon crumbles, and sliced red onion.

  4. Bake:
    Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden and crisp.

  5. Finish and Serve:
    Drizzle with a little extra BBQ sauce and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Slice and serve warm.
