Classic Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients
For the Sweet Potatoes

4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 4–5 medium sweet potatoes)

½ cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs, beaten

½ cup milk
-
2 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
For the Topping

½ cup brown sugar
-
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
-
⅓ cup chopped pecans or walnuts

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

Pinch of salt
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Mix until smooth.

Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, chopped nuts, melted butter, and a pinch of salt until crumbly.

Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato layer.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
