Description

🪸 Coral Reef Shots 🪸
Bright tropical punch layered with glowing shimmer—vivid, fruity, and dazzling like the reef at sunset.

🌺 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots):

For the Shot Base (Bottom Layer):

  • 1 oz tropical fruit punch (store-bought or blend of pineapple, orange, and cherry juice)

  • 1/2 oz grenadine (for that coral red hue)

  • Edible shimmer dust (red, gold, or pink)

For the Float (Top Layer):

  • 1 oz coconut rum or mango vodka

  • 1 oz blue curaçao

  • 1/2 oz lemon-lime soda (for a slight fizz and separation)

  • Edible shimmer dust (blue, silver, or pearl)

Optional Garnish:

  • Rim sugar (turquoise or gold)

  • Edible flower or fruit skewer (pineapple, cherry, or mango)

🧪 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Glasses:
Rim your shot glasses with lime juice, then dip into turquoise or gold sugar. Chill the glasses to keep layers clean and crisp.

  2. Make the Bottom Layer:
In a shaker with ice, mix:

    • 1 oz tropical punch

    • 1/2 oz grenadine

    • A pinch of warm-toned shimmer dust

Shake briefly, then strain evenly into shot glasses (about halfway up).

  3. Make the Top Layer:
In a separate shaker (or glass), combine:

    • 1 oz coconut rum or mango vodka

    • 1 oz blue curaçao

    • 1/2 oz lemon-lime soda

    • A pinch of cool-toned shimmer (blue/silver)

Stir gently (not shaken) to preserve the fizz.

  4. Layer It:
Using the back of a spoon, slowly pour the blue layer over the red to create a glowing two-tone reef effect. The colors will blend slightly but retain a magical separation with swirling shimmer.

  5. Garnish & Serve:
Top each with a mini tropical fruit skewer or edible flower.
