Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Alfredo Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breasts, cut into strips

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (divided)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta (cooked al dente)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

  • Optional: ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Season the Chicken:

    • Toss chicken strips with 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Sear the Chicken:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

    • Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 5–6 minutes). Remove and set aside.

  4. Make the Creamy Cajun Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Cook until fragrant (30 seconds).

    • Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well.

    • Add Parmesan cheese and remaining Cajun seasoning.

    • Simmer for 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.

  5. Combine Everything:

    • Add the cooked pasta and chicken back into the skillet.

    • Toss until everything is well coated in the creamy sauce.

  6. Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley and, if desired, a sprinkle of crushed red pepper.

    • Serve immediately — creamy, spicy, and loaded with flavor!
