Creamy Garlic Parmesan Orzo with Chicken
Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 tbsp olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup orzo pasta
-
2 cups chicken broth
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions

Cook the Chicken:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 4–5 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. -
Cook Garlic & Orzo:
In the same skillet, add butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add orzo and toast for 1–2 minutes for extra flavor. -
Make the Creamy Sauce:
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook 8–10 minutes, stirring frequently, until the orzo is tender and the sauce is creamy. -
Add Chicken & Cheese:
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs. Simmer 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and cheesy. -
Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve hot as a comforting weeknight dinner.
