Creamy Lemon Garlic Pork Chops

  • Author: Stephanie

Description

 Ingredients:

  • 4 thick-cut pork chops (bone-in or boneless)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • ¾ cup heavy cream

  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tbsp)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional but amazing)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 Instructions:

  1. Season and sear the pork chops:
Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  2. Make the lemon garlic sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in chicken broth, lemon juice, lemon zest, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  3. Add the cream and cheese:
Lower heat and pour in heavy cream. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Add Parmesan cheese (if using) and whisk until melted and the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. Combine:
Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon sauce over them.
Simmer uncovered for 5–7 minutes until pork chops are tender and cooked through.

  5. Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
