Description

Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Season and Sear:

    • Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  2. Cook Mushrooms:

    • In the same skillet, add butter.

    • Add mushrooms and sauté until tender and browned, about 5 minutes.

    • Stir in minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

  3. Make the Cream Sauce:

    • Pour in chicken broth and stir, scraping up browned bits from the pan.

    • Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and thyme. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened.

  4. Combine and Simmer:

    • Return pork chops to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer on low for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and the sauce is creamy.

  5. Serve:

    • Garnish with parsley and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
