🥬 Creamy Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well-drained

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for lighter option)

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped (optional, for crunch)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)


Instructions

  1. Prep the Spinach

    • Squeeze out as much liquid as possible from thawed spinach using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

  2. Mix the Base

    • In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.

  3. Add Flavor & Spinach

    • Stir in spinach, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and water chestnuts (if using).

    • Mix in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.

  4. Bake (Optional for Hot Version):

    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with extra mozzarella, and bake for 20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

  5. Serve

    • Enjoy warm with tortilla chips, pita bread, baguette slices, or fresh veggies.

    • For a cold version, chill for 1–2 hours before serving.
