Crispy Rice Paper Dumplings
Ingredients
Filling

1 cup cooked shredded chicken, pork, or tofu (for vegetarian)

½ cup finely chopped cabbage

¼ cup grated carrot
-
2 green onions, finely chopped
-
1 garlic clove, minced
-
1 tsp soy sauce
-
½ tsp sesame oil
-
½ tsp ginger, grated
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Dumplings
-
8–10 rice paper sheets
-
2–3 tbsp water (for sealing)
-
Oil for frying
Dipping Sauce
-
3 tbsp soy sauce
-
1 tsp rice vinegar
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
½ tsp honey or sugar
-
½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
🍴 Instructions
1. Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix all filling ingredients until well combined.

Adjust seasoning to taste.
2. Wrap the Dumplings

Soften one rice paper sheet in warm water for 5–10 seconds until pliable.

Place a spoonful of filling in the center.

Fold edges over and roll tightly into a small parcel.

Repeat with remaining sheets and filling.
3. Fry the Dumplings

Heat a thin layer of oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Fry dumplings until golden brown and crispy on all sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.

Drain on paper towels.
4. Make the Dipping Sauce

Whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, honey, and chili flakes.
5. Serve
-
Serve dumplings hot with dipping sauce on the side.

Optional garnish: sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, or green onions.
