🕷️ Crypt Crawler Shots

Deep grape + black licorice + ghostly shimmer = a creepy-crawly potion in a shot glass!

🍇 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots):

Dark Grape-Licorice Base:

  • 1/4 cup grape juice (or grape soda for fizz)

  • 1 oz black vodka or regular vodka + black food coloring

  • 1 tbsp black licorice liqueur (like Sambuca or Anisette) — or 1/2 tsp anise extract for mocktail

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (optional, for balance)

  • Pinch of edible pearl shimmer or luster dust (silver, violet, or black)

Creepy Crawler Rim (Optional):

  • Light corn syrup

  • Crushed black licorice, black sanding sugar, or purple glitter sugar

  • Gummy worms or candy spiders for garnish

🧪 Instructions:

1. Creepify the Rim (Optional):

  • Dip the rim of each shot glass in corn syrup.

  • Roll in black sugar, crushed licorice candy, or edible glitter.

  • Chill until ready to pour.

2. Mix the Potion:

  • In a shaker with ice, combine grape juice (or soda), vodka, licorice liqueur (or extract), simple syrup, and shimmer powder.

  • Shake gently to blend and create a magical swirl of shimmer.

3. Pour & Garnish:

  • Strain into prepared shot glasses.

  • Drop in a mini gummy worm or rest it over the rim for the full crypt crawler vibe.

  • Serve immediately to keep the shimmer moving and eerie.

🕸️ Tips:

  • Mocktail version: Use grape soda, a drop of anise extract, and a bit of black food gel for color.

  • Add dry ice chips in a serving tray for a smoky graveyard effect (don’t put dry ice in the shot itself).
