Ingredients (4 servings)
-
1 lb (450g) ground beef (lean)
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil (or sesame oil for extra flavor)
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 small onion, sliced
-
2 cups mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, carrots, snap peas – fresh or frozen)
-
3 green onions, sliced (optional)
Sauce
-
¼ cup soy sauce
-
2 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin sauce)
-
2 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)
-
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lime juice)
-
1 tsp sesame oil
-
½ tsp ground ginger (or 1 tsp fresh grated)
-
½–1 tsp red pepper flakes or sriracha (optional, for heat)
Instructions
-
Cook beef:
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if needed. -
Add aromatics:
Push beef to the side, add oil, then sauté garlic and onion for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. -
Stir fry veggies:
Add mixed vegetables. Stir-fry 3–5 minutes until tender-crisp. -
Make the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and chili flakes/sriracha. -
Combine:
Pour sauce into skillet. Stir well to coat beef and veggies. Cook 2–3 minutes until everything is heated through and sauce slightly thickens. -
Serve:
Garnish with green onions. Serve over steamed rice, noodles, or even cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
