Easy Sticky Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients:

  • 8–10 chicken drumsticks

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Sticky Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup honey (or maple syrup)

  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 teaspoon sriracha or chili paste (optional, for heat)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Optional Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds

  • Sliced green onions


Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven

    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

  2. Prepare Chicken

    • Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels.

    • Season lightly with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil.

  3. Make the Sauce

    • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, hoisin, garlic, ginger, sriracha, and sesame oil.

  4. Bake Chicken

    • Place drumsticks on the baking sheet. Brush generously with half of the sticky sauce.

    • Bake for 25 minutes, then turn the drumsticks and brush with remaining sauce.

    • Bake another 15–20 minutes, until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C) and glaze is caramelized.

  5. Serve

    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.

    • Serve with rice, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
