French Onion Ground Beef and Tortellini Skillet
Ingredients
• 1 lb ground beef
• 2 tbsp butter
• 2 large onions, thinly sliced
• 3 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 tsp thyme (dried or fresh)
• 1/2 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp salt
• 4 cups beef broth
• 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)
• 1 cup shredded Swiss or mozzarella cheese
• Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions over medium-low heat until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Stir in garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.

Return beef to the skillet and pour in beef broth. Bring to a simmer.

Add tortellini and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally, until tender.

Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and cover briefly until melted.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
