Description

Garlic Butter Shrimp and Broccoli Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off)

  • 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or blanched if using frozen)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional, for a little warmth)

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • ½ lemon, juiced (plus wedges for serving)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Broccoli:

    • Steam or blanch broccoli for 2–3 minutes until just tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

  2. Cook the Shrimp:

    • Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.

    • Sear shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce:

    • In the same skillet, add remaining 2 tbsp butter and garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

    • Add broccoli and toss to coat in garlic butter.

  4. Combine & Finish:

    • Return shrimp to skillet, squeeze in lemon juice, and toss everything together.

    • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
