Description

👻 Ghost Mist Shots

White coconut cream with eerie fog topper
Makes: 6–8 spectral shots

🥥 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coconut rum (or coconut milk for mocktail)

  • 1/4 cup vanilla vodka (optional — omit or use coconut water for mocktail)

  • 2 tbsp cream of coconut (like Coco López)

  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (for added richness)

  • 1 tsp white shimmer dust (edible pearl luster, optional for ghostly glow)

  • Ice

🌫️ For the Eerie Fog Topper:

  • 1/4 cup tonic water (must contain quinine to glow under blacklight)

  • Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract or coconut extract for scent

  • Optional: tiny pinch of edible glitter for swirling mist

  • Optional: dry ice (handled carefully – see safety note)

🕯️ Instructions:

  1. Shake the Creamy Base:
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine:

    • Coconut rum

    • Vanilla vodka

    • Cream of coconut

    • Sweetened condensed milk

    • Edible shimmer dust

Shake vigorously until cold and silky.

  2. Strain into Shot Glasses – fill each 2/3 full with the ghostly white coconut base.

  3. Add the Mist Topper:
Just before serving, gently spoon tonic water over the top of each shot to form a misty layer.

  4. Optional Dry Ice Effect:
Drop a tiny dry ice pellet into each shot right before serving for a foggy, dramatic reveal.
⚠️ Important: Never allow dry ice to be swallowed. Only use food-safe chips and serve once the fog stops.

💡 Tips:

  • Serve under blacklight to enhance the mist’s eerie blue glow (from the tonic water).

  • Garnish with coconut shavings or white cotton candy for a spectral garnish.

  • For a non-alcoholic version, use coconut milk + coconut syrup + vanilla tonic.
