👻 Ghost Mist Shots
White coconut cream with eerie fog topper
Makes: 6–8 spectral shots
🥥 Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup coconut rum (or coconut milk for mocktail)
-
1/4 cup vanilla vodka (optional — omit or use coconut water for mocktail)
-
2 tbsp cream of coconut (like Coco López)
-
1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk (for added richness)
-
1 tsp white shimmer dust (edible pearl luster, optional for ghostly glow)
-
Ice
🌫️ For the Eerie Fog Topper:
-
1/4 cup tonic water (must contain quinine to glow under blacklight)
-
Optional: a few drops of vanilla extract or coconut extract for scent
-
Optional: tiny pinch of edible glitter for swirling mist
-
Optional: dry ice (handled carefully – see safety note)
🕯️ Instructions:
-
Shake the Creamy Base:
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine:-
Coconut rum
-
Vanilla vodka
-
Cream of coconut
-
Sweetened condensed milk
-
Edible shimmer dust
Shake vigorously until cold and silky.
-
-
Strain into Shot Glasses – fill each 2/3 full with the ghostly white coconut base.
-
Add the Mist Topper:
Just before serving, gently spoon tonic water over the top of each shot to form a misty layer. -
Optional Dry Ice Effect:
Drop a tiny dry ice pellet into each shot right before serving for a foggy, dramatic reveal.
⚠️ Important: Never allow dry ice to be swallowed. Only use food-safe chips and serve once the fog stops.
💡 Tips:
-
Serve under blacklight to enhance the mist’s eerie blue glow (from the tonic water).
-
Garnish with coconut shavings or white cotton candy for a spectral garnish.
-
For a non-alcoholic version, use coconut milk + coconut syrup + vanilla tonic.
