Description

Ground Beef Taco Cabbage Skillet

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 small onion, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 small head green cabbage, shredded (about 4 cups)
• 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade: chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper)
• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Optional toppings: sour cream, sliced jalapeños, cilantro, lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.

  2. Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with taco seasoning. Cook until browned.

  3. Stir in shredded cabbage and cook 5–7 minutes until slightly wilted but still has a bit of crunch.

  4. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Cover for 2–3 minutes until melted.

  5. Serve directly from the skillet with optional toppings.
