Description
🍏 Haunted Apple Shots
Green apple with a caramel-sugar rim and eerie shimmer.
Makes: 6–8 chilling shots
💀 Ingredients:
-
1/2 cup sour apple schnapps (like DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker)
-
1/4 cup vodka (plain or caramel vodka for extra depth)
-
2 tbsp green apple juice (or apple cider)
-
1 tbsp lemon juice (to brighten the bite)
-
1 tsp simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
-
Edible green shimmer dust or pearl luster dust
-
Caramel sauce (for rimming the glasses)
-
Crushed graham crackers, cinnamon sugar, or brown sugar (rim)
-
Thin apple slices or gummy worms (optional spooky garnish)
🧪 Instructions:
-
Enchant the Rim:
Drizzle caramel sauce around the rim of each shot glass, letting it drip slightly for a spooky “ooze” effect. Immediately dip into crushed graham crackers or cinnamon sugar for texture and sweetness. -
Brew the Elixir:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the sour apple schnapps, vodka, apple juice, lemon juice, and a touch of simple syrup. Add a pinch of green edible shimmer dust. Shake vigorously until well chilled and shimmering. -
Serve the Spell:
Strain the shimmering green potion into your caramel-rimmed shot glasses. Watch it glow with an eerie swirl that looks straight out of a haunted orchard. -
Garnish with Terror:
Float a tiny green apple slice, place a gummy worm on the rim, or drop in a single candy eyeball for extra haunted vibes.
👻 Mocktail Version:
-
Replace alcohol with sour apple syrup or juice (1/2 cup), sparkling apple soda (1/4 cup), and a splash of lemon juice. Shake with shimmer and serve the same way—just as chilling and kid-friendly!
🕯️ Presentation Tips:
Set these on a tray draped in cobwebs, surrounded by green fairy lights and tiny skulls. Add dry ice to the serving tray (never inside the shots!) for a foggy graveyard effect.
