Description

Honey Balsamic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Honey Balsamic Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for depth)

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional for a slight kick)

Garnish:
Fresh parsley, thyme, or lemon wedges

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  2. Prepare the salmon:
Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper. Place on the prepared baking sheet.

  3. Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes if using.

  4. Glaze the salmon:
Brush half of the glaze over the salmon fillets.

  5. Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Halfway through, brush with the remaining glaze.

  6. Optional broil finish:
For a caramelized top, broil for 1–2 minutes after baking, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

  7. Serve:
Garnish with fresh herbs or lemon wedges and drizzle with any remaining glaze.
