Description

Honey Butter Garlic Shrimp and Rice

Ingredients:

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)

For the Rice:

  • 2 cups cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati recommended)

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Make the Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Set aside.

  2. Cook the Shrimp:

    • In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.

    • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 1–2 minutes per side until just pink.

    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and cook another 1–2 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the shrimp beautifully.

  3. Prepare the Rice:

    • In a separate pan, melt butter, add garlic powder and soy sauce, then toss in the cooked rice until heated through and flavorful.

  4. Combine and Serve:

    • Spoon rice into bowls and top with honey butter garlic shrimp.

    • Drizzle extra sauce from the pan over the top.

    • Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes (if desired).
