Description

Honey Butter Garlic Shrimp Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp
Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  2. Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice (if using). Set aside.

  3. Cook the Shrimp

    • Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until just pink.

    • Remove shrimp and set aside.

  4. Make the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce

    • Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter to the skillet.

    • Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.

    • Pour in the honey-soy mixture. Stir and simmer 1–2 minutes, until the sauce slightly thickens and turns glossy.

  5. Coat the Shrimp

    • Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.

    • Cook for another 1–2 minutes, letting the shrimp soak up the honey butter garlic glaze.

  6. Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges.
