2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

4 tablespoons soy sauce
-
5 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, grated
-
1½ tablespoons oyster sauce
-
2 tablespoons water
-
1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Vegetables (Optional):
-
1 cup broccoli florets
-
1 cup sugar snap peas
-
1 small onion, sliced
Instructions
Preparing the Beef:
-
Slice the steak into thin strips against the grain, about 1-inch bite-sized pieces.
-
In a bowl, combine beef with soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger for the marinade.
-
Let marinate for 10 minutes, then toss with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Making the Sauce:
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, oyster sauce, water, chili flakes, and black pepper.
-
Set aside until ready to use.
Cooking the Stir-Fry:
-
Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat until smoking.
-
Add the coated beef in batches, avoiding overcrowding, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove beef and set aside on a plate.
-
If using vegetables, quickly stir-fry broccoli and snap peas for 3-4 minutes, then add onion and cook until translucent.
-
Return beef to the pan and pour in the honey garlic sauce.
-
Toss everything together for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
