Description

Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon and Rice Bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or jasmine)

  • Steamed or roasted vegetables (broccoli, carrots, snap peas, etc.)

  • Sesame seeds and green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the Salmon:
Pat salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.

  2. Cook the Salmon:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear salmon skin-side down (if skin-on) for 4–5 minutes. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until salmon is cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. Make the Honey Garlic Glaze:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Simmer 1–2 minutes until thickened slightly.

  4. Glaze the Salmon:
Return salmon to the skillet and spoon glaze over each fillet, coating evenly.

  5. Assemble the Rice Bowl:
Divide cooked rice among bowls, top with glazed salmon and your choice of steamed or roasted vegetables. Drizzle with extra glaze from the pan.

  6. Garnish:
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
