Description

Honey Garlic Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients:

  • 1.5–2 lb pork tenderloin

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary (optional)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

  • Chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Pork:

    • Season pork tenderloin with salt and pepper.

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Sear pork on all sides until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes per side).

  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar.

  3. Cook the Pork with Sauce:

    • Pour sauce over the seared pork.

    • Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally, until pork is cooked through (internal temp ~145°F / 63°C).

  4. Optional Thickening:

    • Remove pork and stir cornstarch + water into the pan sauce.

    • Simmer 2–3 minutes until thickened.

  5. Serve:

    • Slice pork tenderloin, drizzle with honey garlic glaze, and garnish with green onions or parsley.

    • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
