Irresistible Olive Oil Bread Dip
Ingredients
Basic Dip:

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

3-4 cloves garlic, minced or grated

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar
Optional Enhancements:

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon Kalamata olives, finely chopped

1 tablespoon sundried tomatoes, finely chopped
Instructions

Combine base ingredients: In a shallow serving bowl, pour the extra virgin olive oil. Add minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Add flavor enhancers: Stir in the fresh parsley and balsamic glaze. If using optional ingredients, add red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, chopped olives, or sundried tomatoes.

Mix thoroughly: Use a fork or small whisk to combine all ingredients until well blended.

Let flavors develop: For best results, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 4 hours to allow flavors to meld and develop. The garlic will mellow during this time.

Bring to room temperature: Remove from refrigerator 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the olive oil to return to liquid consistency.

Serve: Pour into small individual dipping bowls and serve with warm, crusty bread such as French baguette, sourdough, focaccia, or ciabatta.
