Description
🔥 Island Inferno Shots
Mango and cinnamon with fire glow syrup.
🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)
For the Shot:
-
2 oz mango rum (or plain rum + mango nectar)
-
1 oz cinnamon whiskey (like Fireball)
-
1 oz mango nectar or puree (thick for texture)
-
1/2 oz lime juice (adds tang, balances sweetness)
-
1 oz tonic water (adds slight fizz and glows under blacklight)
-
Optional: pinch of cayenne or chili powder (for an extra inferno kick)
-
Ice (for shaking)
🌋 For the Fire Glow Syrup:
-
2 tbsp corn syrup or honey (thick and sticky)
-
1 tsp mango or orange syrup (like Torani)
-
1 drop orange gel food coloring
-
1 pinch edible gold dust or shimmer (optional, for glowing lava effect)
Mix well until thick, vibrant, and golden-orange. Set aside.
🔥 Instructions
1. Prepare the Fire Glow Rim (Optional)
Dip rims of shot glasses in lime juice, then into red sanding sugar or spicy Tajín for a sweet-spicy kick.
2. Swirl the Syrup
Using a spoon or squeeze bottle, drizzle the fire glow syrup inside each shot glass — let it run down the sides in thick swirls like dripping lava.
3. Mix the Shot
In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine:
-
Mango rum
-
Cinnamon whiskey
-
Mango nectar
-
Lime juice
-
Tonic water (add last for glow effect)
Shake well until chilled.
4. Pour & Serve
Carefully pour the shot mix into the syrup-lined glasses. The swirling lava syrup will stay partially suspended for a fiery visual.
Top with a small pinch of cayenne or chili flakes only if you want heat.
🌟 Garnish Ideas:
-
Tiny slice of dried mango on a pick
-
Mini cinnamon stick
-
Edible gold flakes floating on top
-
A mini flaming lime wedge (flambé briefly with overproof rum for a real fire show — only for trained hands!)
🌴 Non-Alcoholic Version:
-
2 oz mango juice
-
1 oz cinnamon simple syrup
-
1 oz tonic water
-
1/2 oz lime juice
Shake with ice and pour over the same glow syrup swirl. Just as fiery and fun!
