Italian Sautéed Mushrooms
Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 lb (450 g) mushrooms, sliced (button, cremini, or a mix)

2 tbsp olive oil
-
2 tbsp unsalted butter
-
3 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, thyme, basil)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
-
Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Heat the Pan

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until melted and hot.
2. Sauté the Mushrooms

Add sliced mushrooms in a single layer (don’t overcrowd the pan).

Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are golden and lightly caramelized.
3. Add Garlic and Herbs

Stir in garlic and Italian herbs, cooking 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Season with salt and black pepper.
4. Finish and Serve

Remove from heat and stir in fresh parsley.

Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
