💥 Jawbreaker Shock Shots – Layered Colors with Sour Fizz Center
Brightly layered like a jawbreaker and finished with a center of sour fizz, this shot is an eye-popping candy explosion in your mouth. Tart, sweet, colorful—and dangerous in the best way.
🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)
Layer 1 – Red Base:

1 oz cherry schnapps or grenadine

(Heaviest layer—sinks to bottom)
Layer 2 – Orange Middle:

1 oz orange vodka or peach schnapps
-
Splash of orange juice
-
(Shake with ice and pour gently over the back of a spoon)
Layer 3 – Yellow/Green Acid Pop:

1 oz sour apple schnapps or limoncello
-
½ oz sour mix
-
(Bright, tangy mid-layer)
Layer 4 – Blue Cap:

1 oz blue curaçao
-
Splash of lemon-lime soda
-
(Top layer, lightest—floats)
Sour Fizz Center Bomb (Added Last):

½ tsp popping candy (Pop Rocks) per shot

Optional: Drop of lemon soda + dash of citric acid or sour sugar
Optional Rim & Garnish:

Lemon juice or corn syrup for rim

Crushed candy or rainbow sugar

Mini jawbreaker or sour candy stuck on a cocktail pick

Prepare the Glasses:

Rim each shot glass with lemon juice or corn syrup and dip in crushed candy or rainbow sugar. Set aside.

Layer the Colors:

Pour ½ oz cherry schnapps or grenadine into the bottom of each shot glass.

In a shaker, combine orange vodka and orange juice. Gently layer this over the red using the back of a spoon.

Shake the green layer (sour apple schnapps + sour mix), then carefully add it over the orange layer.

Finally, float blue curaçao mixed with lemon-lime soda as the top layer using the spoon trick.

Add the Sour Fizz Center:

Right before serving, drop in a pinch of Pop Rocks or a tiny fizz packet (or drop a candy tablet like a Sweet Tart).
