Ingredients
-
1 pound beef steak (sirloin or tri-tip), cut into 1-inch cubes
-
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
1 cup red and green bell peppers, sliced
-
2 tablespoons Caribbean jerk seasoning, divided
-
2 tablespoons soy sauce
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 tablespoon butter
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
1 teaspoon honey
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tablespoon lime juice
-
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions for Steak & Shrimp
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak cubes with half the jerk seasoning and cook undisturbed for 3 minutes, then flip until browned on all sides, about 7-8 minutes total. Remove steak and set aside.
Season shrimp with remaining jerk seasoning and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Add butter to the same pan and cook shrimp for 1 minute per side. Add honey and cook for an additional minute, then remove shrimp.
Add bell peppers to the pan and cook for 3 minutes until softened. Return steak and shrimp to the pan, add chicken broth, and simmer on medium-low heat to enhance flavors. Finish with lime juice and adjust seasoning as needed.
