  • Total Time: 22 minutes

Ingredients

Scale

For the Burger Bowls

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 12 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 cups shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 large dill pickle, chopped

  • Optional: cooked bacon pieces, avocado, jalapeños

For the Special Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tbsp ketchup (or sugar-free ketchup)

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1 tbsp relish or finely diced pickles

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Pinch of salt & pepper

Instructions

1. Cook the Beef

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add ground beef and break it apart with a spatula.

  3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire.

  4. Cook 7–8 minutes until browned.

  5. Drain excess grease if needed.

2. Make the Special Sauce

  1. Whisk together mayo, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Refrigerate until ready to use (it gets better as it chills!).

3. Build the Burger Bowls

  1. Add shredded lettuce to each bowl.

  2. Top with cooked beef.

  3. Add tomatoes, red onion, pickles, cheddar, and any optional toppings.

  4. Drizzle generously with Special Sauce.

Notes

  • Great for keto, low-carb, and high-protein meal plans.

  • Swap beef for turkey or chicken.

  • Make it spicy with jalapeño slices, chipotle mayo, or sriracha in the sauce.

  • Meal prep friendly — store components separately for 3–4 days.
