Mermaid Pineapple RumDum

  • Author: Stephanie

Description

🧜‍♀️ Mermaid Pineapple RumDum

A tropical swirl of rum, pineapple, and color-shifting ocean magic.
Bright, fun, and lightly boozy — this drink is perfect for mermaid parties, beach days, or anytime you need a little island escape!

📝 Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 2 oz light rum (like Bacardi, Cruzan, or Malibu white)

  • 1 oz pineapple juice 🍍 (fresh or bottled)

  • ½ oz blue curaçao 💙 or green melon liqueur 💚 (for a more sea-green twist)

  • Splash of coconut water 🥥 (optional – adds smooth, hydrating flavor)

  • Ice cubes 🧊

  • Garnish: Pineapple wedge, chunk, or edible flower 🌺

🍹 Instructions:

1. Fill Your Glass

Use a rocks or stemless wine glass.
Add a generous scoop of ice cubes.

2. Shake It Up

In a cocktail shaker, combine:

  • 2 oz light rum

  • 1 oz pineapple juice

  • ½ oz blue curaçao or green melon liqueur

  • Splash of coconut water (if using)

Shake for 10–15 seconds until nicely chilled.

3. Strain and Serve

  • Strain the mixture into your prepared glass over the ice.

  • Watch the ocean-inspired hue shimmer in the glass — turquoise if you use blue curaçao, seafoam green if you use melon liqueur.

4. Garnish and Enjoy

  • Add a pineapple wedge, a chunk on a skewer, or even a tiny umbrella or orchid flower to the rim.

  • Optional: sprinkle in a dash of edible glitter for that “mermaid sparkle.”

🧜‍♀️ Optional Enhancements:

  • Frozen Version: Blend all ingredients with ice for a frozen mermaid daiquiri.

  • Mocktail Mermaid: Skip the rum and use coconut water + blue Gatorade or soda for a tropical non-alcoholic twist.

  • Sour Splash: Add ½ oz fresh lime juice for a tart kick.

  • Sweet Twist: Add a splash of cream of coconut or vanilla syrup for dessert-like richness.
