Description

🌊 Ocean Breeze Shots

A sweet-tart fusion of blue raspberry and lemon with a mesmerizing swirl that mimics crashing ocean waves.

🧪 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots):

Shot Base:

  • 1/4 cup Blue Raspberry Syrup (or use Torani or a blue raspberry drink mix)

  • 1/4 cup Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed preferred)

  • 2 tbsp Simple Syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1 oz Vodka (optional, for an extra kick)

  • 2 tbsp Tonic Water (optional for UV glow effect)

Swirl Effect:

  • 1/4 tsp Edible Blue Glitter or Pearl Dust

  • 1–2 drops White Food Coloring (or substitute with coconut milk for a creamy swirl look)

Optional Rim:

  • 2 tbsp Sugar

  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest

  • Lemon wedge (to moisten rim)

🧉 Instructions:

1. Prep the Glasses:

  • Mix sugar and lemon zest on a small plate.

  • Run a lemon wedge around the rims of the shot glasses and dip into the sugar-zest mix. Set aside.

2. Make the Blue Raspberry Base:

  • In a shaker with ice, combine blue raspberry syrup, lemon juice, simple syrup, vodka, and tonic water if using.

  • Shake well until thoroughly chilled.

3. Add the Swirl:

  • Just before pouring, stir in edible glitter and a drop or two of white food coloring to create a swirling, ocean wave effect. Do not shake again or the swirl will mix too much — gently stir instead.

4. Serve:

  • Carefully pour into prepared shot glasses.

  • Optional: Garnish with a tiny lemon twist or mini blue gummy ring.

🌟 Tips for Extra Ocean Vibes:

  • Serve under blacklight if tonic water was used for a glowing sea effect.

  • Use blue raspberry Jell-O shots for a jiggly variation with lemon whipped topping.

  • Add a drop of coconut cream for a creamy wave swirl.
