Pink Tide

  • Author: Stephanie

Description

🍓 Pink Tide (Cocktail or Mocktail)

A creamy strawberry-coconut slush that tastes like vacation in a glass. Swirled with tropical flavor and topped with whipped cream, this pretty pink drink is as Instagram-worthy as it is refreshing. Serve it with or without alcohol!

📝 Ingredients (Serves 1–2):

  • 2 oz strawberry purée (or blended fresh strawberries, sweetened to taste)

  • 2 oz cream of coconut (like Coco López or Coco Real)

  • 1 oz pineapple juice (optional, for tropical depth)

  • 1½ cups crushed ice

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (optional, for extra creaminess and sweetness)

  • Whipped cream (for topping)

  • Maraschino cherry (for garnish)

🍹 Optional (For Cocktail Version):

  • 1 oz white rum or coconut rum

❄️ Instructions:

  1. Blend it up:
In a blender, combine the strawberry purée, cream of coconut, pineapple juice (if using), ice, and vanilla ice cream.
(Add rum if making it boozy.)
    Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. Pour & swirl:
Pour into a chilled hurricane glass or tall clear glass. For a dramatic look, you can first drizzle extra strawberry purée along the inside of the glass before pouring the drink in—it creates that viral “swirl” effect!

  3. Top it off:
Add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top.

  4. Garnish:
Finish with a maraschino cherry and a fun straw or umbrella for that beachy flair.

🌈 Tips & Variations:

  • For an extra swirl effect: Blend coconut and strawberry portions separately, then layer them in the glass for a pink-and-white ombré look.

  • Want more fruit flavor? Add a few pieces of frozen mango or pineapple to the blend.

  • For a non-dairy version: Use coconut milk ice cream and whipped coconut topping.
