Ranch Chicken Bacon Pasta Bake

Ingredients:

12 oz (340g) penne pasta (or any short pasta)

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk

1 cup heavy cream

1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:

Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. -
Cook the Pasta:
Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside. -
Make the Ranch Sauce:
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth and thickened, about 4–5 minutes. Stir in ranch seasoning mix, salt, and pepper. -
Add the Cheese:
Stir in half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and creamy. -
Combine:
Add cooked pasta, chicken, and half the bacon to the sauce. Stir until everything is evenly coated. -
Bake:
Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and bacon over the top. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top. -
Garnish and Serve:
Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped green onions if desired, and serve warm.
