Description

💀🍬 Rotten Candy Shots

Grape and watermelon blend in a candy-sweet swirl, rimmed in black sugar fog — it looks wrong but tastes so right.

🍸 Ingredients (Makes 6–8 shots)

  • 2 oz grape vodka (or plain vodka + grape Kool-Aid powder)

  • 2 oz watermelon schnapps (like Dekuyper or any melon liqueur)

  • 1 oz cranberry juice (adds depth + darkens color)

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (or sour watermelon syrup for punch)

  • 1 drop black gel food coloring (optional, for murky “rot” tone)

  • 1/4 tsp edible glitter or shimmer dust (black, purple, or silver)

  • Ice (for shaking)

🕸️ Rim and Garnish

  • Black sugar (or black sanding sugar)

  • Corn syrup or watermelon syrup (to stick the rim)

  • Optional: Crushed sour candy dust or a small gummy worm on top

🧪 Instructions

  1. Prep the Foggy Rim:

    • Dip rims of shot glasses in corn syrup or watermelon syrup.

    • Roll in black sugar to create a spooky, sticky rim that mimics “foggy rot.”

    • Optionally, crush sour candy (like Warheads or Sour Patch Kids) and sprinkle it over the rim for extra “decay.”

  2. Mix the Rotten Elixir:

    • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine:

      • 2 oz grape vodka

      • 2 oz watermelon schnapps

      • 1 oz cranberry juice

      • 1/2 oz simple syrup or sour watermelon syrup

      • 1 drop black food gel (optional)

      • 1/4 tsp edible shimmer

    • Shake hard until chilled and shimmering.

  3. Pour and Serve:

    • Strain the mixture into your rimmed glasses.

    • Optionally top with a candy garnish like a gummy eyeball or gummy worm.

  4. For Visual Madness:

    • If desired, float a tiny chip of dry ice in each shot for a swirling black fog effect — but do not consume until fully dissolved.
