2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tbsp ketchup
-
1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
-
Salt & pepper, to taste

Make the meatballs: In a bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and shape into 1-inch meatballs.

Brown meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides (they don’t need to be fully cooked yet). Remove and set aside.

Make the gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until caramelized (about 8 minutes). Add garlic and cook 1 minute. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute more.

Add liquids: Slowly whisk in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
-
Simmer meatballs: Return meatballs to skillet, cover, and simmer in gravy for 15 minutes, until cooked through.
-
Serve: Spoon meatballs and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Garnish with parsley.
