Description
Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
-
6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or bone-in for more flavor)
-
½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
-
6 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a mild kick)
-
½ cup chicken broth
-
1 tablespoon lemon juice
-
1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, and lemon juice. -
Arrange the chicken:
Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker in a single layer (they can overlap slightly). Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the chicken. -
Cook low and slow:
-
Cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F / 74°C).
-
-
Optional crisp finish:
For golden, crispy edges, place the cooked thighs on a baking sheet and broil for 2–3 minutes after cooking. Spoon some of the garlic butter sauce over the top before broiling. -
Serve:
Spoon the rich garlic butter sauce from the slow cooker over the chicken and garnish with chopped parsley.
