Description
Ingredients:
-
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
-
1 tablespoon water (optional, for cornstarch slurry)
-
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Sear the pork chops:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sear each side for about 2 minutes, just until lightly golden (this step adds flavor). -
Prepare the slow cooker:
Place the seared pork chops in the bottom of your slow cooker. -
Make the sauce:
In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the cheese melts and the sauce slightly thickens. -
Combine and cook:
Pour the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the pork chops in the slow cooker. Cover and cook on Low for 5–6 hours or High for 2½–3 hours, until pork chops are tender. -
Optional thickening:
If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes of cooking. -
Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley and extra grated Parmesan before serving.
