Description

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs (about 6–8) boneless, skinless chicken thighs

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp ground ginger

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

  • 2 tbsp water

  • Chopped green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.

  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken thighs, making sure they are fully coated.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

  5. Remove chicken and set aside. Pour the sauce into a small saucepan.

  6. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce.

  7. Simmer over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until thickened.

  8. Return chicken to the slow cooker and coat with the thickened sauce.

  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving if desired.
