Description

Spicy Honey Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, drumsticks, or thighs (bone-in or boneless)

  • 1/2 cup flour (for coating, optional for extra crispiness)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)

  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

For the Spicy Honey Glaze

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot, sriracha, or chili paste)

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  2. Prepare chicken: Pat dry and season with salt & pepper. For extra crispiness, lightly coat in flour. Arrange on the baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.

  3. Bake: Cook chicken 35–40 minutes (flipping halfway) until golden and cooked through (165°F / 74°C internal temp).

  4. Make glaze: While chicken bakes, simmer honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. Coat & serve: Toss hot baked chicken in the spicy honey glaze until coated. Serve immediately with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.
