Description

🕷️ Spider Bite Shots
Bold grape and citrus combo with a black glitter web rim—sweet, tangy, and venomously smooth.
Makes: 6–8 eerie shots

🍇 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup grape vodka (or grape schnapps)

  • 1/4 cup citrus vodka (or lemon vodka)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • 1 tbsp blue curaçao (for a deep-toned hue)

  • Pinch of black edible glitter or shimmer dust

  • Corn syrup (for rimming)

  • Black sanding sugar or crushed black glitter candy (for “web” rim)

  • Optional: thin black licorice strands or plastic spider rings for garnish

🕸️ Instructions:

  1. Rim the Glasses with Web Effect:
Dip each shot glass rim in corn syrup, then into black sanding sugar or crushed edible glitter. For a spooky “web” texture, drag a toothpick through the syrup in a spiral before dipping for a streaky effect.

  2. Mix the Spider Bite Elixir:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add grape vodka, citrus vodka, lemon juice, blue curaçao, and a pinch of black edible glitter. Shake hard until well chilled and shimmering with venomous beauty.

  3. Strain & Serve:
Strain the mixture into your prepared shot glasses. The deep purple hue will glow with eerie shimmer against the black rim—like a spider glinting in moonlight.

  4. Garnish (Optional):
Wrap a thin licorice string around the base like a web or perch a plastic spider on the rim. You can also float a small gummy spider on top for a spooky surprise.

🧃 Mocktail Version:

  • 1/2 cup grape juice

  • 1/4 cup lemon-lime soda

  • Splash of lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp blue raspberry syrup for color

  • Add black shimmer and serve in the same spooky style

🎃 Presentation Tips:

  • Serve on a tray with fake webbing, plastic spiders, and LED candles

  • Set shot glasses on top of a black lace cloth or slate to mimic a web

  • Bonus: add a candy eyeball inside one random shot—whoever finds it gets a “curse” or a prize!
