Sticky Honey Soy Chicken

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Season and Sear the Chicken

Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook chicken 5–6 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

2. Make the Sticky Sauce

In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

3. Thicken the Sauce

Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer 1–2 minutes until sauce is glossy and sticky.

4. Coat the Chicken

Return chicken to the skillet and toss until fully coated in the sticky honey-soy glaze.
